I bought the last TSV to split & give away as Christmas presents. There are two lots of Spit & Polish in the bundle. I'm pretty sure sure the recipients will see this recall notice in the DM
"I literally bought this cleanser online a few days ago. After using it, I noticed one of my eyes had turned unusually red afterwards...I hope I've not been infected!"
I don't use it, thank goodness, but what's the betting that QVC won't mention it. (A bit like when they sell lilies but don't highlight the danger to cats.) I suppose money in the coffers is more important. I hope that none of you who bought it are affected.
I contacted Liz Earle and the affected C&P is the original formula; in tubes rather than pump dispensers; bought online direct from them rather than in shops or other distributors (ie QVC); and they claim to have contacted everyone who may have bought from the contaminated batch.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Surely all Spit & Polish is manufactured in the same place regardless of where it is sold ... unless QVC has a production line of Liz clones filling up their tubes and containers in Liverpool ..
Thanks for the heads up Liv, I wouldn't have known about this otherwise. I too bought that last TSV but all the stuff is still the bag unused. I have been using a pump version of C&P bought earlier in the year from Q, Better check what other bits and bobs I have as some items have been ordered direct from the LE website, but they may be the skin boost tonic bottles.
