I was wondering about this the other day? Is it just BBC programmes that people say they can't hear or are other channels affected too? I am not counting US progs as I need subtitles on to understand the lingo quite often as in The Wire.
Soundbars are special speaker enclosures that rival the sound quality of regular stereo speakers. They are designed to be wide rather than tall, which means they take up less space than traditional speakers and can be mounted above or below the TV.
I called it a box, but technically it's a long bar that sits under the TV unit. My only quibble is that they did not buy the same make as our TV so there's a third handset AND it's very small. They offered to take it back to Curry's and exchange it, but Himself had set it up & rather than upset him I stuck tape on the sound up/ sound down buttons so I could make them out in the dark
