Disappointed I am. A lot of hype in the press about this & I don't really understand why. To me, it wasn't a carefully plotted tale giving clues, but rather throwing a bunch of men in the hat and the writer deciding at the last minute who was the baddie.
I liked it, but then, I am a mystery scriptwriters dream as I rarely know, or can anticipate, whodunnit.I seem to have a blind spot there but it does mean that I don't get jaded. As for Mark's angst, I totally understood it.Having been in that situation, I can tell you that it totally rips your family apart and the reverberations carry on for years, leaving you never quite whole again.I thought it was skillfully written and observed.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
I don't doubt what you are saying for a moment Cass, but writer Chris Chibnall & Mark Latimer (Andrew Buchan) just didn't convey that raw emotion to me.
{Spoiler}Maybe it was too long, better over 4 weeks rather than 8. There were just too many 'as if' scenes in it for me, especially the doing of the deed itself. A young boy, punched in the face and fearful told to rape... I can't see that as credible
As I said before for me the story was far too stretched out and could easily have been four or six episodes and even though they've said that it was the last series they seem to have left the door open
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
Well I was disappointed in myself. Not only did the weasel I chose as the culprit not do it, he was in some warped way trying to protect someone else. He was still a weasel though.

We watched Department Q last night - Nikolaj Lie Kass plays Carl , he was the villain Alexander Sodergren in Season 1 of 'Follow The Money' . It was worth watching.

Gripping stuff, isn't it!!
That was No 2 in the 3 part series of stand alone stories about the Danish equivalent of UCOS (New Tricks) - albeit with a much more violent bunch of perps - if you didn't see the first one when it was transmitted last year (?) is it still available on catch-up for a couple of weeks. We watched it the other night after a tip off from Cass.
Part 3 is on BBC4 this coming Saturday.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
