Apart from the ongoing auctions to raise funds, someone suggested a photo competition. Basically, people paid £2 to enter their pet's photo, the winners would be judged by the man who runs the Italian rescue, and the overall winner wins a prize.
I volunteered to run the competition, which finished yesterday, and these were the winners.
They've arrived! Little Walter, now Alfie, was a bit discombobulated when he met his new owners, that is until Widget was brought in. Lots of rejoicing when they were back together, along with a beautiful little pointer, who also made the journey to his new home in Scotland.
A lovely ending to what might've otherwise been awful, they were all in a kill shelter, so they were very lucky to have been rescued.
