Two cans chopped tomatoes. Two cans carrots (drained). One can baked beans. Tsp. basil. Two pickled onions. Splash of Worcester Sauce. One Oxo cube. Bit of salt and pepper to taste.
Prep time a minute or so.
Dump it all in the blender and blend till smooth. No need to cook anything here, simply serve into bowls and bung in the microwave as required, result a delicious tomato soup that tasted almost exactly like Heinz Soup but without being full of sugar and E numbers.
If the tinned carrots are rinsed off then they are OK for you ((I much prefer tinned to fresh carrots so did a bit of research previously on this). I also use reduced salt baked beans and I cant tell any difference
Alternatively, mump FREE excess tomatoes off someone who is growing them (they always have an excess when they are cheap in the shops and can't wait to offload them), freeze until winter, defrost, whoosh up in blender with a little olive oil, herbs/seasoning, sieve if you're fussy about bits then heat.
OR
Serve cold as gazpacho by adding some bread previously soaked in water, cucumber and red peppers to the whooshing stage.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
