Someone delivered cat food I'd bought from Amazon yesterday, but I didn't notice what it said on the van or even the van come to that. What I did notice though was I ordered the cat food on Thursday and it arrived Friday. I ordered Alph-H from Q last Sunday/Monday and it arrive today! Postage was the same
Not much to choose between the couriers who deliver here. There's a woman who arrives in her own car and seems to bring Amazon, QVC and J.D. Williams and merrily chucks stuff over the side gate if we don't answer the door in 10 seconds - I know time is money to them but really.........
Then there are the two men who like to play pass the parcel in the back of the DHL van.
I can't remember, apart from RM, the last time I saw a sign-written van and quite often it's someone in a car. It takes about 10 seconds for me to get to the door by which time they are usually knocking loudly!
I have had my Avon orders come via Hermes before when I have requested a Additional Express Delivery for a customers order - they left it on my porch when I specifically have a 'safe place' stored online with Avon - lets say, I wasn't best pleased when half of it got nicked! I had to have Avon re deliver it and lets just say, I gave them what for over the phone! Hermes, seem to be a waste of air half the time!
None of ours can be trusted apart from the Royal Mail people.
They lob our parcels over the side gate rather than try a neighbour - some of whom are often at home (Mork, allegedly working, and Mindy, idle super skiver) - regardless of ‘Fragile’ or ‘this way up’ signs.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
My Hermes team is great, as are the postmen. They all know where to leave parcels if I'm out and they always leave a card through the door. The few Amazon deliveries I have usually come with a guy/woman in their own car but I don't know which company they work for. Luckily, I've never had anything go missing or get damaged from any of the companies.
Hermes deliver any orders from Q and they are very good. Haven't had anything from Amazon in a long while but do have a small order coming tomorrow, but I don't know who's delivering it, as yet.
Placed an order with a craft company on Dec 5th, parcel despatched on the 6th. On the 7th I got an email from UKMail couriers telling me they had my parcel and would deliver it on the 8th. Early morning on the 8th I was told it would arrive between 10.16 and 12.16. By 2 o'clock I was wondering where my parcel was, then got an email telling me that the status was, and I quote (exactly!) 'signed for by Behing Gate'. I'm clever, me, so I (eventually) figured that meant they had left it round the back! Odd, as I was in and you can't open our gate but hey ho......except it wasn't there.
Contacted the courier who totally ignored me so Monday I contacted the craft co who said they would look into it. By Thursday I was a bit dischuffed but the craft co finally got in touch to say a new parcel had been sent, arriving Saturday. This afternoon a man arrived with my parcel...........from 10 houses up the road! Turned out to be the original parcel (not sure why it took him a week to bring it down!) and there is no sign of the second one. I wonder which house that one went to?
