When I said I was hoping to maybe get July's box I meant the one you buy in July and get in the middle of August - confusing, isn't it?!
It depends to a large extent on how much we spend taking Secondborn out for a meal after his graduation - we can't be stingy on that occasion. If I have anything left from what I have saved then we shall see! If not it will be the August/September one definitely!

Fingers crossed she doesn't sell out EarlyBird! Had my first order from Fruit Pixie delivered today - thank you for the web site and recommendation - I'm really pleased with what I've got!
Still haven't got one of these! When they announced September's they also gave some hints for October - things like 'Think Alchemy' and 'Mystery' - and I got very excited as it sounded just my thing so I resolved to save up and get October's. Unfortunately, now it has launched I'm not that struck by it - nothing that I really fancy, except the paper they show and I already have that. A few too many spiders too! I kept trying to convince myself that I wanted it but then realised that if I had to work that hard to like it then I could manage without! I will get one some time but it will have to grab me straight off.

Wait until you see one you really want EarlyBird rather than be disappointed. I have had two now and there has been some lovely stuff that I can use and some stuff that needs thinking about like a piece of fishing net. So far I haven’t tried a large canvas and I think that’s what it needs. My mother bought a fisherman’s net back from France with the floats on and various “pretend” sea creatures which she arranged on the bathroom wall. When I started teaching I used it as a classroom display- the children loved it , especially the crab and the lobster and starfish. I have used a lot of the cabuchons/ jewels/ resin bits and bobs from the boxes when making my ATCs and cards and really loved the metal leaves when I did an orange/brown/red themed one. I bought some cheap little transparent containers from Amazon and have put the glittery bits into them, I just like to look at them! I got some beautiful paper by Alexandra Renke from Hochanda and it’s just too beautiful to cut into.
I have so many paper pads/collections that I never use but just flick through from time to time!
I do a lot of nautical themed stuff so fishing net would be useful! I have some cotton material which suffices though and have just bought a load of tiny shells. Nautical, Steampunk, and sort of Alchemy/Apothecary/Potions are my main themes - especially my canvasses and boxes.
I am sure there will be a craft box soon that will make me go 'oooh!' so I will wait for that.
Are you still getting the craft boxes, Berry McPaper-cuts ? I quite fancied the Treasure Tin subscription - I especially liked the one with all the clocks and stuff - but I still can't bring myself to spend the money. That can be done every other month so maybe sometime.
I did, however, go for the Mini Subscription as it is only £4.95 incl postage and is a mix of allsorts. The first one arrived today and I am very happy. It has got some nice stuff in it. They also include a tutorial and some discount codes by email I believe.

Ooh- that looks nice! What have you got planned EarlyBird? I have started going for the tins rather than the boxes because I don't need all that snip art and have a stash of the lace now. I have subscribed so I got the first tin and the innards are fab but the tin was bashed and the perspex fell out of the lid . I don’t usually complain about things but decided I would email Anna to tell her about the tin as she is very proud of the quality of her stuff and I thought she should know the tin was poor. She emailed me back to tell me how disappointed she was that it had arrived in that condition and was sending me a new tin which arrived yesterday. She’s a real star.
Nothing planned at the moment* but they will come in handy for some mixed media stuff I am sure! I quite like some of the Snip art - especially the latest - so I am looking forward to getting a mini selection of that at some stage.
*Actually, I believe Mr EB is buying me another mdf storage kit for my birthday so I will probably manage to sneak some bits on to that.
