We managed to trap Kate yesterday. Sam has just returned from work, bringing Kate with him. She is not popular, the nurse described her as a 'monster' and told him to take her home in the vet's cage as she was no way moving her into our carrier. ooops! Before we released her, we marked her with a dab of food colouring as she is almost identical to Mary and we need to make sure we take Mary, next time. Sam didn't have the heart to tell the surgery that there was another one, or that Mary bit him last time we cornered her.
Tomorrow, we will try again...
Ashley was as good as gold and he likes to be picked up and cuddled. He and Vassili are very alike in temperament, liking tummy tickles and cuddles and they both have a deafening purr...

We marked Kate with green food colouring so that we don't capture her again but it has faded and is not discernible from a distance, certainly not from the balcony from where we have to spy.
With Sam going to the dentist, he should be home late afternoon so we are going to try to trap Mary. To this end, I lurked with red food colouring this morning hoping to mark her as the victim. Needless to say, she sensed something was about to happen and got really skittish so I had to resort to sloshing it in her direction. By the time I eventually marked her, it looked like a massacre at the feeding station - and still does, it doesn't wash away...
We got her! She was angrier than the angriest hornet. The vet just laughed and wondered if we have a kitten factory churning out furious white kitties. Her red splodge was a rather fetching girly pink by this evening as Kate and her mother kept trying to lick her clean. Our work is done, though we may have a go at catching Dad when we get back from U.K. He was helpfully eating Mary's share of their supper a moment ago.Ashley has his leopard spots and looks just like him.

Mary is back. She gobbled down a huge plateful of food and seems none the worse. Sam said she seemed to enjoy the car ride.
When I called Vassili in tonight the Dad, known by us as Mini-Psycho, was sitting in the porch. We will try to trap him when we get back.
His father was the original Psycho who used to terrify our cats about 4 years ago. We called him Psycho because I could hit him right between the eyes with the water pistol and he wouldn't even blink, just kept on coming! He used to trap poor Spiro behind the petrol tank and he would be there all day unless I rescued him. Weirdly, though, he would allow me to pick him up and stroke him. He hasn't been around for ages , we suspect he was knocked down as he was up by the main road a lot.

Kirsty the garden cat and the Olsen 'twins' - Mary, Kate, and Ashley. Havn't they grown! We have adopted Ashley the little grey boy as a companion for Vassili

We spotted a few feral mogs in Zante, I was always wary of the things but they were delightful and quite friendly. One decided to follow us back to the hotel one night, I thought we were stuck with him, but he gave up after a few hundred yards.
