You can't beat Aveda. Fabulous products. They take account of their customers too. I belong to a consumer group of theirs where my views are sought regularly. I get a birthday voucher every year. They used to donate trees to my workplace to be planted. I get great results from their products.
I can use any old tut if I'm honest. Nowt makes it much better or worse. I used to use Tigi. I loved it til I used Herbal Essences and even my hairdresser's boss commented on how good my hair looked. Now I use whatever is on offer.
I was squirting the bleach in the 'This Is It' room this morning when I noticed an open tub of goo on the shelf. It was 23's partner's wax. I accidently on purpose got some on my fingers, tipped my head upside down & worked it through my hair. Phyllis Diller! Great stuff. Just ordered some ...... and pushed said boyfriend's tub to the back of the shelf behind the hairspray.
That's why I couldn't remember it. One word does me - "Wax"
Ah but its a clay wax. That's diffrunt apparently. I have a 20 something son and I know more about male hair styling products than a woman ought! Clay is matte usually and has a lower water content, therefore doesn't send Baby Tink's straightened locks back into curls.
I use a little rubbed on my fingers through the hair after blowing dry, and give a quick dry on low for a minute or so. Keeps my short style looking good for a few days.
