By a strange coincidence, I trimmed my hair this morning and am waiting for Sam to come and check that the back is straight. I use large dressmaking shears as I find them easier and, scissors is scissors...
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

Here you have the person who washes your hair, the one that cuts your hair, the one that blow dries it, the one that styles it - all different, and all expect to be tipped. Colour and/or highlights cost a bomb. For the first 4, which are obligatory, it is around 100 euro - that is why I taught myself to cut my own hair. They are used to working with thick Greek hair so could never style my very fine hair in any way that made me feel confident to even leave the shop so I always raced to the nearest loo and would backcomb and lacquer like mad so that at least you couldn't see my scalp through their creation, or, in winter, jam on a hat so I could brave the bus ride home.
At those prices it'd almost be more cost effective to fly back to the UK to have it done twice a year, it sounds like there's a gap in the market and a business opportunity for someone
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
I thought it was expensive here but it's a bit cheaper Cassandra.
Highlights and cut costs €80. I hardly ever have it cut so I am only there every 2/3 months. When the fringe gets long (every 3 weeks or so) I Run in and she cuts it for no charge.
