What is the advantage of a gel polish over a traditional quick drying one, please. I always use the Rimmel 60 Second polish and don't see how it could be bettered, tbh.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
The gels cure under a lamp and do last longer but I get fed up and want to change the colour
I have been a fan of the Rimmel 60 seconds polish for ages but just lately it hasn't been lasting long without chipping, not sure if it was my nails or whether they had changed the formula
I recent bought some OPI from this site as the prices are good, its does look better and lasts longer so Im happy
I wear nail varnish all the time and I have about 30 colours in my 'stash' to change colour regularly.
If you wear colour and have tried the nail varnish remover pots, I recently bought a Cien one from Lidl. I wasn't expecting much because they are cheap but I have been blown away. It is far better than the Bourjois and Nails Inc ones I previously used. It takes the varnish off much quicker and is not drying on the nails. It's acetone free too.

The current professionally applied gel I have comes off in one piece ( as nail varnish usually gets damaged on my nails within 30 minutes this is a way of having nice nails for the whole holiday) which was a bit of a shock as I had 9 gel and one bare so having read Nellie ‘s posts about the Rimmel one I unearthed my bottle of that and painted the one nail. I have seen women with nails in two different colours in recent times so I knew it was on trend. Over the next few days various others kept coming off in one piece so I just used the Rimmel but I was having to reapply every day as it chipped. When I opened the M&S calendar to put my sister’s present together there was a bottle of Nails Inc Gel in gold so I tried that instead ( basecoat, gel, Kensington top coat) which comes off with ordinary polish. It lasts longer on my nails than the Rimmel and gave better coverage. Until I get them snazzed up on Friday I have one proper gel nail and nine DIY ones.
I trust you've all been looking after your hands and nails with all this hand washing and sanitiser doings. Nail salons should be opening in the not too distant future, so be adventurous. You deserve it.
