I will be surprised if Kipling bags ever turn up as worth a lot on these antique quizzes like the Chanel ones do. However my hand luggage bag is a Kipling which I love as it is light and the kitchen sink fits in nicely , doesn't mind if you take it to the beach and washes well.
I've got one Kipling bag, an overnight/ weekend bag and it is perfect regards size & how light it is. I purchased a City Bag Nell for 32 when she went backpacking for a year. Both were as cheap as chips from eBay so yes, they don't hold their price. I paid the full price for a weekend bag for 26 one Christmas, but I'm sure it was a lot less than this Dizza bag.
The great thing about anything that QVC sells is that there is always a fair bundle of them on eBay. I think La Q is singularly responsible for the second hand market in Lulu G bags. I've had some real bargains.
You can usually pick up Kipling bags at lower than full price without resorting to eBay. If I get any sales flagged up then I'll shout.
Like FP I like them for travelling. I have a fab overnight bag and one for hand luggage. I also use one to lug my laptop around on the rare occasions I need to. I do also have one that I take on holiday to use as a handbag. But it's white and by heck it really shows the grubbiness quick.
We've also got two Kipling travel/weekend bags but neither cost anything like that bag - not super cheap but they are excellent quality and should last.
I wouldn't pay that price for a nylon handbag.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
I'm sure I heard them say that this Diza was made for Q so it won't be appearing any time soon on eBay. Shame because I really liked the shape of it. ... I wonder if I told they could keep the bluddy monkey & sell it to me at half price they'd respond ?
Can definitely recommend the one Nellie bought to our attention a while back, I bought another after it arrived in black. Very well made and the dentist's nurse said how much she liked my Kipling bag!
Do you keep a can of frankfurters in your side pocket Frazz? I'd not thought of doing so but you never know when it might come in handy
Strangely, No Nellie?
It took me a couple of months of muttering to myself about there being no Kipling key fob, to realise that pocket was perfect for keys and there was metal ring to clip onto. It could be for a mobile I suppose lol!
