Feather and down for me. Two or three preferably. I cannot have my head even vaguely level any more. I have to be very careful or I am spinning like a top all night.
Silentnight do a good one. It's so good I bought six so I don't have to arse about and find a new one anytime soon. The wrong pillow is a killer for me.
I find them quite softish with good support and can use them either on their own or with another soft pillow. Don't like anything too flat or too high to sleep, so just use two pillows max to sleep on. The star rating isn't very good, but perhaps the buyers were all looking for different results. Should add that the cotton covers do sound a bit 'crinkly' , but I've got used to that. Good luck in your search.
I always take my pillow when I go away except when travelling abroad as it's quite weighty and with limited baggage allowance it's too heavy so I take an ordinary travel contoured memory foam one instead
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
Because the travel pillow is smaller than normal I take my own pillow slip too. That normally works OK except when I was in Tunisa, when they changed the bedding they took it away and replaced it with one of their own, I never did get mine back! LOL

When we went to Tunisia in 1987* we had the most luxurious silk bedlinen at our hotel. Not the slimy sort of thing I one might associate with a black and red tarts' boudoir but a sumptuously soft, yet heavily woven, texture.
Changed every day too.
*I can pinpoint the date exactly because "Never gonna give you up" by Rick Astley was playing non stop on our car radio on the way to the airport, in the hotel and in every souk we visited!
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
I didn't get to Dunelm this afternoon -don't ask LOL
That's another point -silk pillowcases. I've read good reports on them. Q do/ did one that had a cotton backing so it wouldn't slide all over the place.

I have them Liv. I bought three of them from Amazon and they are really nice.
