Is that dome hollow? Wondering how long it takes them to get through one of those and how it stays fresh?
The meat goes almost down to the spindle, and I've often wondered if it stays fresh. They must keep it in a fridge overnight, and it probably only takes a few days to get through one. I think they can move the spindle nearer to the grill as the meat goes down. It must be OK because I've rarely had a doner kebab that's made me ill.
Just seen a trailer for a new program, they claim that the average family eats out or has take away three times a week! Not sure who's having my share because I certainly don't and I don't think I know anyone who does, are you an average family? Eating1
We rarely ever have a take-away. A few of my colleagues at work have 2-3 take-aways a week.
We had lamb kebab wraps with salad from a street seller in Athens back in the day, and they were delicious. I've never fancied having one here. Too many horror stories about some of the premises in the early days, hopefully much improved now.

There's still some dodgy outlets Frazz, but you get to know where's best in your area and stick with that. Most shops will have had a local authority report done on food hygiene and general practices, given as a mark out of 5 and displayed in the window.
There was one in a village near here a few years ago that was horrendous...
Our local Indian restaurant ended up on TV in a H&S program on the Beeb 5-6 years ago. It was a big shock for the village! It was mainly about minor issues, nothing you would consider horrendous, but he was required to improved standards.
We had eaten there for years and never been ill, the food was excellent. However, it damaged his reputation and the place went out of business. It became a take-away only after that, but has now change to a pizza take-away which I'm not interested in.
