Thanks Toril Our hosepipe is ancient & is in fact two hosepipes joined together. It has had quite a few repairs over the years so I might watch the spiel
I've had a couple of these over the past 5 years, brilliant, but sadly neither lasted more than the one season due to being punctured by thorns etc. That said, the Q one looks much better quality, I like the metal fittings. The good thing is Q usually give 12 month guarantee.
I have soaker hose everywhere now, and went back to normal hose for the patio, but the expandables are lovely and light to use and I would probably chance another. I'm sure they much improved on earlier ones.
They certainly look better than the expandable ones that QVC used to sell. I didn’t get mine from QVC but luckily mine also has the brass fittings which are far better than the usual plastic ones.
I hope you’re pleased with it once it arrives, Nia Miss.
"How long is our garden?" "I don't know." "Estimate? You're good at stuff like that." "No I'm not."
So I guessed.
On one of the presentations they mentioned a brass connector that’s included which would allow you to connect another hosepipe if the one you’ve ordered is too short. The connector is an universal one so I assume it would fit any hosepipe you’ve got lying about.
My first hosepipe was too short but it’s amazing how far water goes if you arch it. 😉 I bought my current one because the plastic connectors on the other one cracked, and I ordered one with brass fittings that was another 25 metres in length so I don’t have to faff about arching the water to reach one of the flower beds any more. 👍
