I confess that M&S & TK Maxx are my first port of call for clothes. I find the sizing is more consistent in M&S and because of that I will order online as well.
Sam buys all his work trousers from M&S - great quality, and they also do shirts that are longer in the body. I find most of their clothes frumpy, but I love their jeans and leggings which are true to size, and I have at least a dozen pairs of their pyjamas, both winter and summer ones, which are excellent, and always look like new, no matter how many times they are washed.

That seems to be the trend at the momment, Sainsbury's Tu are doing the same thing.
I've discovered there is a Bonmarche Shop in a nearby garden centre, so I went for a look today. At last, some colourful summer clothes in lots of styles. Bought a few tops, will go back next week when I have more time to browse for trousers. I've missed them for everyday casual wear.
Seems to be a trend here too. A couple of the big supermarket chains are now co-partnering with other brands which are shops within shops. It works well for all concerned.
