I think you should, in the interests of pioneering research, put yourself forward @lewis It would turn a Blue Monday into a Red Monday at the very least!
Researchers from Oxford University found consuming more than 10g, or one unit, of alcohol every day significantly reduces people's cognitive function, which worsens as the drinker ages.
The Department of Health recommends a maximum of 16g of alcohol a day
There's a simple answer to that, just cut out the beer?
Why can't restaurants and take-aways just give the option of the same meals in smaller portions to give people the choice? I have complained about this for years. It seems a simple solution to me and cut down food waste at the same time.
I love food, but can't cope with the volume they put on the plate in most places and object paying for food that will be wasted. It's not just me, almost everyone I know complains of the same thing. When I occasionally have a take-away, I order 3-4 dishes, which I serve up into 4 portions, 3 of which go into the freezer for another day. I would sooner have just enough for two meals. I don't particularly like supermarket ready meals, but the odd time I might buy one, it's not big enough for two, but too big for one. It's no wonder so many people have got use to eating large portions.
Nearly 8 million people live alone in the UK, millions more don't necessarily want large portions, so there is a market out there.
Have a look at some of the Weight Watchers options Frazz. There's also a section called 'Skinny' in Tesco & child portion meals. I buy all of these to have when Himself fancies cooking something spicy spicy, hotsy totsy
When I go out to lunch with my old school friend we often opt for two side -sweet potato chips & salad.
One of the worst sights can be seen in a pub carvery. Plates piled so high it must be mush at the bottom
