As a group, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian are all very similar and it is common for people from all three countries to be able to understand each other apparently. I'm impressed with that as I find it very difficult to follow what is said by someone with a hard Glaswegian accent.
I attempted to watch it on the Balcony, earlier but, as the whole thing is exceedingly 'noir', I could barely follow the action and read the subtitles on the small screen out there and gave up after 5 minutes. I will enjoy it indoors on the bigger screen when Sam is otherwise occupied. He doesn't have the patience for subtitles.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
