Oh ere Yorko. I was in quite an upmarket garden centre recently and they had really fabulous fake greenery which I thought would be amazing in your modern minimalist garden when you do it. So good I had to put my specs on to be sure. They had box trees in different shapes and they also had living walls. I know you want fairly maintenance free and these were bloody fab.

That sounds fab T
We are considering a large pant in the living room but it will have to be fake as I am famous for killing off house plants so haven't had any for over 20 years

Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
We have 3 fake trees dotted around the living room - it is large and open plan. They will gradually need replacing as they are now 14 years old and the leaves have started t0 drop, just like a real plant. I do tend to kill house plants but the ones outside on the balcony, thrive.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
I had a large ivy about 15 inches deep I trained across the back of the pergola on a rope. It was perfect for privacy, but it grew so fast it need me getting up on steps 5-6 times a year to tidy/trim etc. So I got rid of it this year and replaced it with some trellis and fixed living wall box leaf panels to it. Looks really good and needs no maintenance. As it is under the pergola the colour shouldn't fade too much over time.
