Our Elsie back in U,K, went missing for a few weeks, had lost her collar and was eventually returned by the people whose house she had wandered into via their cat flap, when they saw one of our posters in the vets, they were happy to keep her otherwise. They lived almost 3 miles away from us! She was a madam, though. She was also returned by the gas fitter who put in our new boiler. She had climbed into his tool bag, he had zipped it up and thrown it into the back of his van. He was half tickled/half annoyed at having to drive back all the way from his next job with her.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
Harvey hates everyone. Actually he’s scared of everyone. With the exception of Mr Tink, who he has loved almost from the get go. He’s fine with Baby Tink and he quite likes one of the decorators, Mike. He was scared of Baby Girlie Tink and he’s very wary of the first Mr Tink and my dad. Everyone else, he’s gone.
I worried about the cats as much as I worried about the boys! Itchy went missing twice, once for a few days and again for nearly 2 weeks. We were sure she had gone for good. I went round the lanes on 29's bike looking for her much to the amusement of the locals! 29 was about 16 then. We won't get another kitten even though I would absolutely love one (or two). It's too upsetting when you lose them. Around here they stand a good chance of being run over.

I'm very lucky that my two are wary of people they don't know, if visitors stay long enough they'll usually come out of hiding to say hello but they never do when they're outside, they don't even like me picking them up in the garden!
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
