You non crafters won’t have a clue who she is. She has a company called Tattered Lace that produces dies etc for Create & Craft and her latest creation is the Tattered Lace Strictly Fabulous Collection at £ 124.95 Gobsmacking!
I find the dies really expensive. I only use frames and borders and can buy good quality of those, cheaper, even here.If I made dozens of cards the same, I suppose they would be an investment, but I rarely repeat a design.
The good news for me and all their fans is that Craftwork Cards has been bought by Splashcrafts. Create and Craft put them out of business by demanding more and more designs then slashing the prices.I love their products, amazing value and quality, visiting their factory in Leeds was always a highlight, they would happily take us round and show us their production, then offer a goody bag.Alas, the factory is now closed.Their customers were trying to get together to fund another startup for them.
I have never actually seen Julie Hickey. I only know her through the Craftwork Cards Facebook group. I had not heard of Splascrafts until we heard they had bought CC and I had a quick look at their website but I think I saw the Wrinklies there.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
I saw that Craftwork had gone out of business. I have a few things of theirs. Good to see they have made it back.
Tattered Lace are way too expensive for me most of the time. The Chinese websites I buy from often have very similar dies (ie identical!) to some of theirs for a couple of pounds though. As Cass says, if I batch made identical cards maybe they would be worth it, but I never make the same card twice either. My dies have to be very versatile which a lot of TL are not.

I really dislike this new method they have, the decoupage dies and the charisma paper. Cheaper to buy a set of Kanban or Hunkydory. The TL are very samey. My Christmas cards are made in a batch but never look the same due to driver error!
