We tracked the prices of the products sold in 2017's Black Friday deals across a full year - for six months before Black Friday and six months afterwards. The goal was simple: to find out whether Black Friday deals really are the rock-bottom prices many shoppers expect. And the answer? Usually not. We found that 87% of the Black Friday deal items we investigated were available for the same price or cheaper at other times of the year.
Isn't it more dangerous to stay in liv , unless Himself has locked your laptop up?
I can't be doing with it, many of the offers have always been available at other times. Apart from the garden centre when they reduce all the decorations, I have never intentionally set out to a sale in my life. Too hectic for me.
That said, just for a bit of fun, I'm having dinner with friends on Christmas Eve (We don't do presents). I bought a Christmas dog coat for my friend's daughter's dog this morning. I'd forgotten it was Black Friday, so just coincidence. I hope she still speaks to me lol!
Dr Mrs FP Minor bought B&K matching hats and scarves the first Christmas we shared. Boris ran off into the garden and got rid of them but Katya concealed her hat in the house - it took nearly 12 months for it to turn up again. The remaining scarves and hat were then regifted to other cats she knew who were more appreciative.
I'm not bothering with Black Frday because I've done my Christmas shopping and don't want or need anything for myself. They should call it Black Fortnight though because it's been going on for longer than today and will no doubt continue with "bargains" all next week too.
Having said that, a company from whom I buy regularly, rang me this morning and I've secured 3 items that I purchase regularly for less than the price of one of them. Free P&P too. So that'll do me for bargains.
