I had mine done at the beginning of January. I went to the same woman that 34 went to in 2012/13. She uses tattoo ink as opposed to semi-permanent ink. I can expect it to last more than 3 years or so she said. Katrin recommended black as brown can turn funny colours. She also recommended doing the lower lids for balance but she uses a much lighter touch (same colour though) for lower lids. The pen she used looked very much like Clarin's 3-Dot Liner and she did just dot along the lower lid. It looked dark at first but does flake after a few days to reveal a softer look. The flakes gummed up my eyelashes lol. YOU MUST NOT PICK. You must keep it dry as well. It didn't hurt, just a bit sore afterwards. My eyes were rather large the next morning though. I had to wait 5 weeks before my top-up session. It was so subtle (I was afraid of looking like a Drag Queen so told her to go easy) that it was hardly noticeable so she did it again bless her on 7th Feb. I went back again (I know - tough lids) on 18th March because it had not taken in one corner of my lower lids. All good now though. I love it. It's great waking up in the morning & seeing some subtle definition around my eyes. A lick of mascara & I'm good to go.
You’re a braver woman than I, both of you. Having had my eyebrows done I’m really pleased with the result but I don’t think I could have eyeliner done. It wasn’t painful but it wasn’t pain free either and even though I wear lenses I don’t know I’d be able to keep still enough.
Do you really?! And they do the bottom ones like that as well? Or you just had the top ones done? Heck!! I still think it’s beyond me though. Mind you I’ll happily go without eyeliner on holiday or at home. I’m hoping my eyelashes stay dark. They’re a bit sparse but they’re very dark and quite long so not as iffy as my eyebrows.
