I am pretty sure that these are the kids that just pi$$ed on the floor when they were on the This Morning programme a while ago
I would say that it is a bloody disgrace that this is being allowed to happen. Put aside the work shy shyster saying that work 'is not in his psyche' these children are not being cared for as they should
And how the feck is he getting away with not working. I thought that they were clamping down on shirkers
The report confirms what you thought, Y. They were the family whose child urinated on the This Morning studio floor.
Well, I'm totally delighted (not) to be paying taxes to enable this family to enjoy the delights of no discipline, social awareness or morals. Without guidelines etc., I'm sure that we'll all be paying taxes in the future to keep the children, when they are older, at Her Majesty's pleasure.
People like this really irk me, because it makes a mockery of the system that should be busy supporting the people who genuinely need benefits.
I like being a member of this forum so I shall keep my thoughts on this repulsive family to myself but I cannot believe there are people defending them in the comments are the end of the article. To even suggest that they are saving taxpayers' money by home schooling the children is extraordinary.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Scrounger, plain and simple. I guess by having children, the authorities are compelled to assist.
I get angry at people who have no concept of how the benefits system works or exists. Their perception that its just government money and they have an automatic right to it makes me steam! It's our money and there for those in genuine need.
"Eldest son Ulysses, eight, can't yet write his own name, but dad Matt says he's not worried and his son has plenty of time to pick up literacy skills."
The child is 8 years old and can't write his own name. There are people in this country who home school their children. I have nothing against that. But It is worrisome and sad that a child cannot write their own name at 8 years old.
I though it was compulsory for children to attend school or be educated at home.
The latter is obviously failing if the lad can't yet write own name. Question for Berry McPaper-cuts, if you are home schooled, are there no tests or checks made by authorities to ensure it is happening, and the child's education is meeting expectation?

It’s very difficult to track Frazz in some cases. If this family is living off the grid the children might not have a ‘footprint ’ which Health & Education Services can use to track. When a child starts school they are issued an unique pupil number which should go to the next school if they leave . Admin staff at a school do try and chase the previous school if a pupil arrives paperless but there are times when families just disappear from your register and you have no idea where they have gone.Sometimes there might be criminal or financial or visa reasons for a family going. There are for the children who are home schooled supposed to be checks on the education the child is getting but you rarely hear of a family being told to do better. Then there are schools where the children of extreme ( extreme in the sense of highly religious )sects go which try to stay unregulated.
