I'm always ready before Himself as well Flying Pigs and I admit it does irritate me sometimes. OK, it irritates me a lot. Yes, parcels is another thing.
I use to be very impatient, but apart from the odd thing, I'm much calmer these days. Although I can rise very quickly given the right incentive i.e. duck eggs lol!
I'm pretty placid and patient ........... I have to be in my job. )
However, as I don't like being late for appointments (I'm always early) my patience would often be tested when the ex and I went out for meals with good friends of ours. They would tell us that the restaurant was booked for 7.30 p.m. and he'd be faffing around doing things, like polishing his shoes or deciding which tie to wear, when we should have been en route to pick them up. Our friends and I eventually came up with a sneaky plan. We started telling him that the table was booked earlier than it actually was and so we got there on time from then on .................. and he still doesn't know to this day.

I used to do that with my ex he was convinced he could get ready in half the time he actually took I lost count of the times we'd arrive late but telling him we were meeting half an hour earlier than we were sorted the problem, sneaky aren't we!
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
Sadly, in general, I am not a very patient person at all. I wish I was but I just am not. If I go out to eat and there is a wait, forget it,- I'm out of there. If I have to wait too long for my check at a restaurant or my food I will complain (unless I happen to be with someone that I am having a really good time with.) I get really agitated when lines are long at grocery stores or banks and start giving dirty looks and sighs to the workers. I just can't stand it! If the store looks too busy, I walk out. I'm not fighting crowds and if I stand in a long line, I will not be happy. At work, I multi-task quickly and efficiently. If I am at the mall with a good friend of mine, she gets annoyed because I rush her out of there, because she is slow moving with her purchases and patient. So I shop alone. I bring no friends with me. They just can't move quick enough for me. After I have made my purchases I have no patience to stand around and wait for someone else to shop and browse.
I know my place. I am the human coat hanger - I hold the coats, cardigans & handbags while 29 & 23 try on. I can also run to the rails to get the next size up or down. I'm quite useful really.

That would drive me wild- so glad I have never had to do that ! I don't like clothes shopping and the only place I would even think about trying clothes on is a shop with individual changing rooms.
