Why shouldn't the BBC broadcast this Shemima Begum podcast series? It's not a peek-a-boo look into her life, it's an investigation into her ISIS associations. Being as there have been so many complaints here about BBC failing to be unbiased, surely it is perfectly acceptable then for this broadcast to go out. If that doesn't sit well with people, then they themselves are biased. And in that case don't watch or listen.
She'll probably write a book next and there'll be a 200 page thread on how she should feck off back where she belongs.
My only objection to the 10 part podcast is that each episode is too long and repetitive -there was a 17 min introduction for heaven's sake. So far, the reportage has been straight down the middle, no bias shown yet and some pertinent questions, time will tell.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
This is precisely why Shamima Begum should not have been given any publicity. For clarification, I'm only copying the Daily Mail article because it is free. The Times and Telegraph also ran similar but I'm not paying their subscriptions.

Yes, I’ve read all three articles. We are seeing them because her case is up again very soon. No remorse on the result of her joining up and the people she helped die.The other two died, she should just be glad to have her life.
Another DM fan here They have better photos too. What is with the newspaper snobbery? It's something that really amuses me, but I guess it's an easier way to dismiss someone's point of view rather than debating the topic.
Worryingly Jack Letts, dubbed Britain's 'Jihadi Jack' will be repatriated in Canada. He has duel UK and Canadian citizenship.
The move has raised fears that scores of ISIS sympathisers could soon return to their home countries.
It's the total lack of emotion in her voice and body language that convinces me she has no remorse. She never flinches or looks away to compose herself, never a tear or hint of sadness for those she saw die or their families. If she does come back, it is likely she will live the rest of her time in fear of her own life, and well deserved.
As I said earlier, the guy interviewing her was not giving her an easy time and he made her condemn herself by the way some of his questions were phrased and by dint of eloquent silences. She did herself no favours.
It is part of a series of podcasts interviewing people considered to be 'monsters' by the general public and they are thought provoking and engender discussion.No-one is forced to listen.
