As announced by Director-General Tim Davie last year, the BBC has sent out letters to some of the most senior journalists asking them to consider voluntary redundancy in an effort to save money.
They should refuse redundancy until Lineker goes. I can’t stand the man. He’s definitely not worth his huge salary. Cutting that would save money.
Failing that, they should take the BBC to account, via solicitors, because no one should be asked to consider leaving a job because of their age. Is it even legal unless incompetence is proven? They’re the experienced ones. Most of the youngsters are probably woke enthusiasts.
Kirsty Wark has to be older than some on that hit list so to say it's aiming at the "most senior journalists" is disingenuous but, as you say Toril, it is discrimination.
They are clearly trying to do exactly what they've done at Radio 2 (not that I am a Radio 2 listener but I am aware that all the popular presenters have been picked off and they've joined Boom Radio or Great British Radio).
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.

Mr BMcP is a Greatest Hits listener in his car so I hear that when we go to see my sister. The advertisements are full on but you can pay to get a version without adverts. They have a competition called ‘Make Me A Winner’ where once a day if you have texted your number in and they ring you and you say ,’Make Me A Winner’ straightaway within 5 rings , you win thousands .
