Just had a non-authentic Beef Madras at the pub where Moodyson #1 lives in the village of the damned. Despite the non-authenticity, it was bloody lovely, as was everyone's meal.
My grandmother used to consider chicken's feet a real delicacy. She would buy boiling fowl to make chicken soup and then various dishes from the meat taken off the carcass but she'd always save the feet for herself. 🤢
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Nellie, I was just thinking, in these times of increasing hardship, those chicken feet would make a nice bit of soup. At 20p a foot, they're a real bargain.
Better fresh than dried, I'd have thought - the flavour looks as if it's already been sucked out of those. Also, if they were fresh, you could pull on the sinews at the top of the leg to make the claws retract - much more fun than having a puppet. 👍🏼

Fresh would probably be best for humans, but for a dog the crunchiness (and boy do they crunch!) is part of the treat and helps keep their teeth healthy. They say that all the original goodness is kept by the drying process and the many nutrients are good for keeping joints healthy. Springers/ Sprockers are prone to dodgy joints especially if they tear about like Hartley, so this is a good addition to his diet. And by the way he hunted down the hidden foot, I guess the smell and flavour are still strong.
Sorry, that turned into a ramble about chicken feet.
Earlier, with Sam and Granddaughter at our local Taverna ~ Whole grilled tsipoura, Kalamari, grilled octopus, fava, and spicy cheese, all absolutely delicious.Beer for Sam, Ouzo for us.
