You often seem to have disappointing food when you are working, Mr M. Is it not possible to take food with you from home each day or do you not return to the place you started for your breaks?
That particular food disappointment (the Asda salad) was one Mrs M had provided for me, having bought some stuff home from her new job. Some microwave meals I take are good, some are dreadful, it pays to avoid the cheap crap from my recent experience.
If I "eat out" in Whitby, it's chips with whatever, Gr*ggs or something reduced in the Co-Op.
Btw, Asda sausage rolls aren't brilliant - decent sausage meat but wrapped in very dry pastry. I'll stick with stopping at the butcher's in Glaisdale when I'm on the Lealholm/Esk Valley run for the best sausage rolls.
You have previously said that you and Mrs M are still cooking for a houseful and have food left over, could you portion out the leftovers to take with you to work and pop them in the popty ping - you'd never be disappointed then?
Yes we do do this, but none in the freezer just now. I think Mrs M is now judging portion control a bit better.
