It’s nice to hear your voice Cass, you do sound as posh as feck
Here, we get used to speaking slowly and distinctly - Not in a patronising talking to foreigners way - but just to be understood . I hadn't realised it had become my default mode until I heard myself. My son lived abroad for many years and when he returned to U.K., I noticed he did the same - we used to tease him about it.
When I am visiting U.K., I'm sure I segue into whatever was my normal mode when I lived there.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
I'm from Lancashire, Mr. Moody, not Geordieland, though I can do a great Newcastle, Bristolian, or Yorkshire accent if called upon - all other places I have lived for some years.

According to Him Ooop North, I’ve got a posh voice 😳 I beg to differ, but I can put one on if needed. (Not that I ever do.) I prefer his Yorkshire accent to mine and could listen to him talking all day.
I did have elocution lessons and deportment classes too at school though because they were on the curriculum. Total waste of time because I refused to apply either of those once I left school.
A lovely video, Cass, and super views of the sea too. 👍
