Amazon delivered a set of six Alice Bands for £6.99. My fringe is at that awkward stage and unlike Claudia Winkelman I can’t see through it and under no circumstances will I self harm. It’s a good set and will be useful when we can go abroad again.
I bought a pair of thinning scissors (which I think Ive mentioned previously) and took a lot of the weight out at the back then decided to tackle my roots
Last summer I tried box colours from Superdrug which didn't do a great job, this time I did my research and bought a colour from Josh Wood online. As the ends were quite light it was suggested that I should go for a darker colour so I bought a mid blond, used it on the roots and left for 20 minutes the combed it through and left again for 10 minutes
Its not half bad TBH and I and quite happy with it for now, albeit a bit darker than I am used to
It was £19 so obviously more expensive than the ones you can buy in the shops but the results are definitely better, nice shine too and its put a good base colour in place to be used by the hairdresser when I finally get to have highlights again
Mine's not been highlighted since mid October and I'm really surprised at how much there is left, I'm a natural blond all be it a bit mousey and keep hoping it'll start to lighten with age but I'm still waiting for it to happen! Since Christmas I've been occasionally using John Frieda Shampoo and conditioner for blondes and I think that may have helped lift the colour a bit, as they say every little helps
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
Mrs M will hopefully be dealing with my locks today.
Without the written statement that I was not to be held responsible for the result I declined the offer to prune Mr FP’s locks so he bought some shears from tinternet and self- cut last week.
Mine looks no different to the photo I posted a while ago. I trim my own fringe and my son has taken 2 - 3 inches off the length, twice, since last March (when we weren’t in a lockdown 😉.) It’s been about 30 years since I went to a salon and when it was shorter my MIL used to do it as she had been a hairdresser.
Planter 39 shampoo and the Plantur 39 tonic which can be used daily. I started using it when I had my underactive thyroid diagnosis, because a side effect of that is thinning hair.
