My neighbour’s hair looked suspiciously short yesterday and he proudly told me that he’d been to his hairdresser a fortnight ago and she’d cut it for him then. Quite clearly they both preempted the July guidelines because he went into her salon. 😳

Our local gents hairdresser visited the downstairs neighbour during lockdown and all the men and boys took turns to sit on a chair in the garden and get their hair cut, including Sam . She took Loads of precautions and even the local busybody didn’t object. As Sam has had to visit customers during that time , it was no greater risk as he was even more protected than normal.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

If someone chooses to tell you they’ve had a haircut during the lockdown, when you didn’t ask why his hair looked shorter, does that make someone a busybody?

For info: 😉 My earlier post.
But as my post was “quoted” I don’t know if it was referring to my post or Cass’ post because she mentioned the “local busybody.”
I said nothing to my neighbour about his hair. I kept my thoughts to myself. 😉Nellie,
At 10.45 on Friday I will be hurling myself though the door of my hairdressers! With my mask on obviously. The hairdressers and barbers opened Monday and have had a brisk trade apparently. When I went to pilates on Monday night after 3 months off my friend burst out laughing when she saw me!! Cheek - I know I look like a afghan hound but she looks like a badger
I was going to ask if anyone had managed to get a hair appointment for Saturday mine's booked for three weeks today, not that I'm counting the days! It'll be interesting to see who on TV will be sporting a freshly cut or coloured 'do' this weekend, Boris is looking extremely shaggy with what looked like a central parting and poor Tomaz Shaffenaker looked even worse than before, when he was on earlier in the week his hair appeared to have flick ups, poor lad!

The barber's that I go to has moved to an appointment system and I'm booked in for Tuesday. I'll give the guy a decent tip as both TT Jnr and I have had a hack at it during lockdown.

I've done the same Berry McPaper-cuts I've got a feeling that a lot of people will look very shorn when they leave the salon/ barber shop. Speed & pressure & all that.
