He was trying to escape from my view, I was lucky to catch him.
The swans were bloody vicious - they decided on a stroll along the footpath and we had to wait till they'd moved back to the water before we could get past. They were hissing quite loudly at us, a sign of anger and a willingness to break an arm if necessary. As the phone signal there is virtually nil, we decided not to risk an attack.
LOL, as we were driving this morning, we had to brake suddenly as our path was crossed by a hen, a duck and a goose all wandering wing to wing. It could be the start of a joke ~ A hen, a duck and a goose walked into a bar.............
Lovely pics. Mr. M
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
I took this photo when Him Ooop North and I went to Chester Zoo. The fact that I was intending to take a photo of the rhinos as I pointed the lens is purely coincidental.
Finally got a shot of a heron (or maybe it was a crane, but I think a heron) that hangs around the River Esk at Egton Bridge. Our village route runs through there and I caught this today, sadly the photo is not going to be snapped up by Getty Images as the light was fading and it was taken from behind a filthy bus windscreen.
Wings extended, the show-off.
I just noticed another lurking on the opposite bank of the river, I should have panned in a bit further.
