Snap Toril! Mr FP has to tinker with my Reviber bikes as the construction of the pedal to the bodywork is suspect ( I am on my third or fourth bike) but it is still head and shoulders better than the others on the market. The old bikes are in the garage as Mr FP uses spares to repair the current one. If I had not my bike I am sure I would have been housebound after the lockdowns we had in Greater Manchester.
I bought Reviber so I could say I was doing some kind of exercise every day if I didn’t go out. I have it on speed 12 and “cycle” away for at least 15 minutes a day, while watching television. Although I didn’t buy it for this reason, it has certainly helped my knees. 👍So far my machine hasn’t gone wrong. 🤞
OH has ordered the Reviber bike - he is having a replacement knee in mid October and was told by the consultant to cycle - not a good idea given the state of most roads nowadays and, upon all the recommendations here, thought the Revibe is a good idea.
If not there could possibly a hardly used piece of equipment for sale ….
I'd forgotten the presenters being mentioned, is the dreadful twee Catherine still there?
I haven't come across her thank goodness. She's either gone or presents during daytime hours when our TV is not on. I'll give her this, her voice was pleasant. End. That's it.
Catherine Huntley is off for personal reasons. I hardly watch Q these days but the other night I tuned in because Nails Inc were on and I like them. Unluckily for me Alison Young was presenting the show and dear god she talks a load of guff! One of the sets would apparently be perfect for your neighbour who watered your plants when you were away!
I didn't stick around to hear any more useful suggestions.
As it took a year to see a consultant (who we had to go back and see 6/7 weeks later for the result of an MRI, we have taken the decision to fund it ourselves… OH was told 1/2 year for NHS op (although I think this is wishful thinking). His knee is bone on bone now and the new knee will be a few years younger than the rest of him .

No choice really.
He has my sympathy, lily. By the time I had my knee replacement, I’d been walking around bone on bone which explains why I had also developed a limp because I was compensating because of the pain. 😳 I only went to the doctor because Him Ooop North nagged me to because I was having trouble keeping up with him when we went out. I’m so glad he did.
He’ll also get loads of exercises from the physio. I had 11 to do three times a day and each one had to be done 10 times. Doing 330 exercises a day certainly kept me out of mischief. 😉 I’m sure that you’ll make sure he does them, although they’re a bit boring, because it will certainly aid his recovery and give a better end result. I’m now pain free and my knee is functioning well. A friend who didn’t keep up with the exercises is still experiencing problems.
The Reviber is a great idea as he can start on the lowest setting, but I suggest asking his consultant at which stage of recovery he should start because of the stitches and internal healing.
I hope all goes well for him and he’ll be like a new man. 😉
