I don’t understand how the merger will work yet but February 25th is the day Create&Craft will start broadcasting from The Craft Channel Studios and The Craft Channel becomes online only. Both clubs are staying open and they haven’t announced which presenters will lose their jobs yet and who will stay. The Craft Store website has been changing over the last couple of weeks but at the moment Create&Craft ‘s website still seems linked to Ideal World which is odd and neither channel has said how IW will change during this. There will be studio space at the IW headquarters in Peterborough so perhaps instead of repeats IW will have two live channels.
Is mounting pictures in frames considered craft? If so, I've been hard at it creating a picture wall with a Stanley knife and the back of my kitchen glass cutting board which now has deep score lines in it. In the light of day I can see cat hairs trapped under the frames
Anna Griffin occasionally has a show on QVC (very occasionally) but unfortunately her designs are too flowery for me. I now get most of my craft stuff from a craft warehouse that’s on the edge of my town and it has a rewards scheme which means you get discounts.
I’ve recently taken up another type of craft, as well as scrap booking and making cards. I’m now doing craft work using resin but I get the things I need for that from Amazon, eBay or Etsy.

Kathryn Sturrock and Blanche from La Blanche are excellent with resin but it’s not something that has appealed to me. Reminds me of the plaster of paris moulds of Snow White etc that you painted when I was a child.

I find it therapeutic and it is quite rewarding when it comes out of the mould and you can see what you’ve created. I use dyes and also mica powder and the latter produces things that look like metal. I’ve also done things where an item is encapsulated inside the resin. I’ve also now started creating resin pictures in photo frames, as well as all the other things I’ve done.
(It keeps me out of mischief.)
I also had a “bonus” this morning. I’ve just cleared out the final cupboard in my study and, as well as finding some brand new electrical items that I bought before I moved here (for example: a house alarm and an electric drill and screwdriver,) I found a large box and inside it was …. loads of crafting materials for cards, jewellery making and scrapbooking. 👍

John of John Next Door fame has developed with Crafts Too a mica product that is apparently brilliant to use with resin in moulds. You can also use it straight on to MDF instead of having to gesso first.
That looks interesting, but I’m not sure how I’d use it with resin. 🤔 The pots of mica powder that I use are actually mixed into the resin and then it’s poured in to the moulds.
