apart from medication, do you use anything to help you with your daily health struggles- and if so, what do you use?
I use a shower chair- obviously to help me shower, it's a bit low and I need a new one, but for now it does the job
I also have a grabber to help me pick up items from the floor (it's very easy to use, it's like picking something up in a set of jaws)- but I use it because of my bad back and not really being able to bend down
I have sticky notes for my memory (all around the house, note after note after note)- and finally their are my incontinence products
Not real chicken pox? Real chicken pox is great - you feel like death for three days then the spots erupt, you feel fine again and the doctor gives you a week off work.
I have a grabber too, emily. Marvellous item, couldn't manage without it! I sometimes wish it was a little bit stronger but then it would probably be heavier!
Don't tell him I said this, it'll go to his head, but my most useful 'gadget' is himself! He's very good at fetching and carrying, jar and bottle opening and so on. Of course he balances that with plenty of things he is totally useless at!
Drinking two litres of water a day to stay healthy and hydrated is a myth.
Research from the University of Aberdeen published in Science this week shows the recommended intake of two litres of water a day seldom matches our actual needs and in many situations is too high.
Given around half of our daily intake of water comes from food, scientists estimate we only really need around 1.5 to 1.8 litres per day.
