Hearing nothing from my GP I went to the surgery just now. Yes, they had had an e-mail from my optician on Thursday and the accompanying notes were added to my medical record.
"And an appointment?"
"No appointment has been made."
"I want an appointment please."
"Ring in the morning."
"No!"
I won't bore you with the rest of my speech just to say a doctor will ring me after 8:00 tomorrow.
Hospitals are getting as bad. My doctor is monitoring my T4 level, because it was elevated, but they only gave my TSH result. When I queried it, the receptionist made enquiries and I was told that when the TSH level is normal the hospital doesn’t test the T4 one. 🙄 That’s utter bunkum because, since I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 7 years ago, I have always been given the results for both levels.
What’s the point of having a blood test when they ignore the doctor’s request to test the T4 level? The surgery is looking into it.
I hope that your doctor does ring you, Nia Miss. If you’ve not heard from him by 9 am, then ring them. Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing serious and just caution on your optician’s part.
Dr rang. He thinks it's likely an infection even though there is vitually mo mucus & what there is is colourless. He's going to prescribe ABs and a nasal spray and he will ring me back on Monday. No point in taking bloods yet as if it is an infection it will screw the result. He was a nice man, a very nice man
Meeting Kathy for lunch @ 1, 31 is coming here tonight and Oz is having his final dose of Vetmedin so this could be a very good day!
Just took H for a walk. I thought we'd try the other park today for his run, but couldn't believe the number of other dog walkers on there and mums with toddling sprogs. No way I could risk letting H off the lead with all those distractions going on.
