To Tesco. The fire alarm went off just as I had finished unloading my trolley. Matters were not helped by Himself shouting out, "Abandon ship!" Twenty minutes standing in the cold before we were permitted to return.
Dentist, Screwfix (no connection) and Sainsburys. Lots of lovely new warm TU items at great prices. I'm well stock for next winter as well now. Found some lovely ordinary Ultimate Comfort socks Cotton, 37% modal, soft, seamless toes, extra thick underneath. Perfect for wearing in shoes. £4.50 for 3 pairs. Black maybe the only option.
....and I did. we did the weekly grocery shop a day early as it was Lunch Bunch today. There were 40 of us (ladies) lunching! We normally grocery shop on a Thursday but I have to be dropped off and collected from whatever restaurant is chosen as we live so far away,so we did it today so that Sam can work tomorrow instead. This month it was a S.African place so the steaks were divine.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

Mr.B.McP does not drive Jazzy @lewis, he has an Octavia. It’s the time of day that beats him lily as the schools are coming out , earlier in Didsbury than here, then there is the notorious Simister Island where the M66, M60 and M62 meet and finally schools traffic in Ramsbottom.
Just back from walking H round the park. When I say walk I mean I walked he raced. He had a great time, annoyed one dog owner who whinged that her dog didn't like other dogs as he raced past (so don't walk the bloody thing where other dogs will be you sour faced crone!). Across the field he met Sky, an old friend he's ran with before. Sky is a 15 month Collie and is getting big now. Another Collie joined in, then a fourth dog who's owner was having no luck getting to come back. So he wasn't happy either. Even Hartley was a big difficult to retrieve but he did so eventually and we left the remaining carnage to it.
