I know Loen has moved on to TJC but if you loved her quirky sense of humour and enjoyed watching her present on C& C you will be upset to hear she has breast cancer which has spread to her liver. What a love story of her and Andy! I am thinking of her and her family.
The name rang a bell. I had to google her and didn't recognise her. Then I looked at older images and the penny dropped. My goodness she's changed! Such a dreadful, sad diagnosis.
I used to watch all the fashion shows on Ideal World and remember Loen (and Andy). She was funny and enjoyable to watch not like the rest of them. I'm sorry to hear about her illness.

So sorry to hear more news from Loen. “ My dear friends,
I promised to let you know about any developments regarding my health.
Andy & I met with an oncologist earlier this week & received some devastating news.
We were stunned to hear that my cancer is stage 4 & very advanced. The oncologist went on to say that if I decided against any treatment, my life expectancy is around 6 months but with treatment - 12 months plus.
I am - obvs - opting for treatment and thanks to the tenacity of my best friend Louise Bennett - I have the incredible fortune to have an appointment with one of Europe’s leading oncologists at the Royal Marsden hospital next week.
I’m so sorry to have to tell you such news.
Wigs, eyebrow stencils & new nightwear are on order - I am ready for this fight!
Thank you for thinking of me & for your support & kindness - it means a lot
In the meantime, please know that I am cocooned with love, care, kindness & support from my husband, my Mum, my best friend & my Doctor "
Terrible news but fingers crossed she can live as long as possible. Good luck Loen, I’m thinking of you.
Devastating news and, as Liv said, it’s very brave of her to post that.
Cancer is such a cruel illness and, having had friends and my dad who have had it, I think that talking about it is important. From my own personal experience, it can be much easier for those who are affected (the patient, the family and friends) when it’s openly talked about. It gives the patient the support and allows others to spend valuable time with them if the prognosis is terminal. I feel the same about those who suffer from mental illness. Talking helps.
My thoughts are with Loen, Andy and all their family and friends.
