Rings in the main Nellie, though I have got a long pearl necklace that belonged to my sister.
I have seen a pearl tragus earring but 24 bought me a sparkly CZ for Christmas. She won't put it in yet though. She says I've got to wait a bit longer to make sure it's fully healed.
It varies hugely from what I read on various Piercing Forums. Some people reckon a few weeks a few say months. It takes much longer than earlobe piercing though I wouldn't know personally as I don't have pierced ears. 24 has several piercings and I must do what she tells me because I can't bear the thought of pushing pins in my ear and I'm relying on her. I had strict instructions about bathing the wound twice a day with cooled boiled water & a pinch of rock salt. I ignored all of that (don't tell her) and left it alone. It looks fine to me & I've had no trouble with it at all. The initial pin is long to allow for any swelling that might occur after the piercing. Mine bobs about like fun so I hope she will give me the OK soon.
I have thought about a tragus piercing, but I had a cartilage piercing (just about where 'pinna' is on your pic) a few years back that took months to heal and years to stop being painful when I lay on that side. Puts me off a bit. I have 5 lobe piercings (a 3 and a 2) which healed really quickly and have never given me even a day's grief though so maybe it was just one of those things.
24 had to remove one of her piercings EB - the bar one ..... Scaffold/ Industrial (had to look up my own diagram LOL). It just wouldn't heal & then she had a lump on the back of it. The others are pretty in my view but the scaffold wasn't. Once removed it healed up without leaving a mark. She was lucky.
No Frazz, not a knot ring. It's a right hand ring.
