I had leftover salmon and creamed leeks as a mashed potato topped fish pie. I can't remember which one of you who suggested it as a use for leftovers but I now make extra to ensure there are leftovers for a quick fish pie mid week. Frazz maybe?!
Ah I did think it was you. I use Elmlea light for the creamed leeks which works really well. Keeps the luxury tough but cuts back on the fat and calories.
I eat fish or seafood at least twice a week. I will actually have fish or seafood five times this week!
Sea bass is a lovely fish. I remember they were always the prize when I use to go sea fishing with Mr F the 1st.
Mainly, I like meaty fish like tuna or swordfish, mackerel is good too. It's all very expensive these days unfortunately. Love all shellfish as well, got into the habit of buying a dressed crab from the fishmonger if he's there market days.
I adore crab Frazz. My restaurant or pub meal of choice is always squid. Or mussels. We eat most types of fish. I adore seafood and shellfish and Alf n Harvey love prawns.
Now there's a coincidence Frazz as I bought a packet of those at the weekend...on offer in Morrisons they were. I've never tried Basa fillets, I don't think, but am happy to try any white fish, so it's good to have your recommendation.
