Does anyone know of a weedkiller that actually works?
In the past I've used Deadfast powder which you used one sachet in 5 litres of water which worked really well but isn't available now, it seems to have been replaced with a liquid that you dilute one sachet to a litre which when you're doing a large area works out very expensive, I wouldn't mind so much if it worked properly but I used it 10 days ago and I'm still waiting for most of the weeds to die. I suppose it's yet another thing we can blame thank the EU for! LOL

It does depend to some degree what weeds you're trying to kill. Some are more persistent than others and could take up to two weeks to keel over. Resolva is quite a good all round one. For most things you're looking for products that contain glyphosate.
Using pre mixed is often better as you use the right amount of potion and don't run the risk of some being left in the watering can and getting on your prize plants by mistake.
I always use one with glyphosate Asda did their own which was brilliant but unfortunately I haven't seen it for a couple of years. I haven't tried Resolva yet but when I do the gravel drive or patio I need a lot of it so prefer something I can put into a watering can, I'll have a look and see what option there are, thanks Nellie and Tinks

I always use Resolva and it's brilliant in my opinion. I had a 'virgin' garden when I moved in and so had seed membrane put down and therefore the flower beds are virtually weed free. Anything that does comes through, where I've had to slit the membrane to plant things, gets zapped with the Resolva gel which means I'm less likely to kill off the surrounding flowers and plants as yyou can put it directly onto the weeds' leaves.
I use the Resolva spray on my bloc paving but usually manage to deal with those when they're very small. I'm assuming it would work on large weeds as well. I bought a 5l one and decant it into a smaller Resolva spray bottle that I'd used up.
I bought this at my local garden centre this morningfor £5, it's brilliant. I can't manage a 5 litre watering can very easily at the moment, this is great at 2 litres and has much more control over where it goes. I'm armed and dangerous now with Resolva and SBK for the heavy stuff.
I bought a 5 litre pressure sprayer with an attached hose and nozzle the other day and found it very easy to use. It's amazing how far it goes, when using a watering can I'd have to refill it three or four times to do the drive but being able to control where it went I only used one full pressure container, I'll have to wait and see if it's worked as well the proof of the pudding etc
