I had the Indian head massage - sorry "The Indian 'ead maasage"
Ease away stress and tension from the shoulders, neck and scalp. Using specialised friction and pressure point techniques to stimulate removal of toxins and soothe away tension headaches
I usually have one or two facials a year. I love the Elemis Visible Brilliance facial particularly. I've had the 'ead massage as well. I've also had body scrubs and pedicures. And manicures.
There was one other client, a lady older than me in her 50s I'd say. She had a facial and she was telling me it was all wonderful until they got to the toner then her face started to burn. She told the girl to wash it off as it was stinging. I didn't like to tell her her nose had lit up.

The last Aveda survey I was asked to complete was about Head Massages and scalp treatments when you go to the hairdressers. I love it personally. My regular treatments are eyelash dye and eyebrow tidy and dye. In the summer I have a foot pedicure and gel nails done because I can't get at my toes to do them properly.
My two Rugrats think nothing of going to the Benefit counter the have their eyebrows tidied up, hairdressers for cut & colour, salon for nails. All unheard of in my neck of the woods when I was their age. Hairdressers yes, but that was about it.
Can't stand being faffed around with - hairdresser knows it's just a dry cut for me - in and out in 15 minutes.
OH paid for a spa day many years ago. Hated it! Wrapped in bandages like a flippin mummy - never again. Facial was exhausting ... Told OH it was wonderful as didn't want to upset him. Has been suggested as a gift one or twice since, always managed to find a reason not to go ...
Glad you enjoyed your day Lena - see they use Elemis, no sign of Keely then!
I spent a day at The Sanctuary many years ago - the place where Dame Joan Collins swung over the swimming pool in The Stud - and it was like torture for me.
A friend had suggested that a crowd of us went to jointly celebrate our 25th birthdays - there were saunas, massages, steam machines, a Turkish bath, pedicures, manicures etc.
The idea was to create a relaxed, all female environment where people could be free to wander about all day without so much as a towel to cover your embarrassment.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
I'm the odd one out then because I love it. The first one I ever had was in a Dermalogica salon, a treat from 29. That was a cleanse and tone followed by some pulse machine that was supposed to do something to the collagen. I don't think for a minute it did but it was all very relaxing. The second time (also a gift from 29) was three microdermabrasion sessions. A bit uncomfortable, but I can take it and it did make a big difference. The best was in India. For a few rupees 29 & I had a face & neck massage. It was all very simple, just a massage with cleansing milk but it was the best. That's probably why 23 thought I'd enjoy the Indian head massage.
I intend to treat all three of us sometime in the new year. Groupon often offers deals so I shall be on the lookout.
