Someone knocked on the door yesterday offering my husband free carpet cleaning for 12 carpets. When he said he wasn't interested the chap offered to clean the three piece suite. The man looked very shocked to get a refusal. There is something obviously dodgy about this, but what is it?
I realise it's difficult for some people, but I never take any notice of leaflets through the door, which normally only have a mobile number for contact. Neither would I deal with people who come to the door. There are some real scumbags out there!
I never deal with anyone who either calls or put leaflets through the door, if it's something I want to buy or needs doing I do my research, get quotes and then make a decision on where to get it from
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
I'm fortunate that my best friends have a carpet, upholstery and oven cleaning business so he does ours regularly. These days it's so easy to hire a machine from Homebase and set yourself up in business, and if someone doesn't know what they're doing they could easily ruin your carpets and scarper.
