Any experiences yet? Steve Allen mentions them a lot lately on LBC but I wasn't aware that it was a warehouse franchise rather than a store. Maybe it's a bit like Macro in which case I wonder if you have to sign the fire book. Research shows the nearest Costco to me is Southampton.
You have to be a member, either because you have your own business or from a certain profession, and pay annual membership.
They're fabulous stores, can't tell you the number of great things we've had from there. If you do ever have anything that goes wrong, the refund with absolutely no problem whatsoever.
I've been to Costco a couple of times when OH was buying stuff on behalf of a sports club, there was an annual fee involved, as Cogs says above.
A whole range of stuff on sale from artists easels to serviettes, as I recall. It's been a long time since we visited though as its good distance away. I think he started shopping at Bookers after that. Makro used to be quite good but they kept messing with the store and turned from something resembling a nice department store into a cold basic warehouse. Although we still have the cards, we haven't been there in years...again a long way to travel.
Steve Allen must be a member then. The way he was going on about socks sounded like it was a department store.
I wonder if it's worth joining on the basis that once having joined and depending on what the annual fee is, you might only visit it once just to see what all the fuss is about.
