Pfffft,I'd like to hear someone dare to tell Chassis, she can't got out.She is louder , and feistier, than that cat. She insists on being out in all weathers and most of the neighbourhood cats flee at the sight of her. She is NOT to be messed with or told what to do, she is also extremely, deafeningly, vocal. She is also a scrawny little thing so suffers from 'small cat syndrome'.

Neither of ours wanted to go out today due to the grotty weather and are hiding out in the conservatory. Boris hasn't even gone out for his morning ablution. Katya went out through the front door and straight under my car but scuttled back in when I went out to Aldi. They are good weather forecasters and their behaviour means rain, rain, rain.

This is right isn't it? Our Millie stayed in last night, so this morning she should have wanted out for ablutions as you called them (LOL) but wasn't happy. It wasn't raining at that point so I put her out anyway. After 20 minutes of stomping about, I let her back in again and the heavens opened ten minutes later. Now I'm getting black looks from her for suggesting she go out tonight, but she really must. It's stopped raining but I'm sure she knows more's coming. I might have to be cruel to be kind....
We have litter trays in the conservatory for them but they only use them in a dire emergency.
Millie hasn't had a litter tray in years, but on the occasion she has been caught short and locked in, at least finds something to do her duty on that can be dealt with simply. Usually a newspaper or magazine that's been left lying about, but rarely a carpet issue. She's still going out tonight mind....
