Recorded this and started watching it last night and nowhere in the first two episodes was there a Scotsman, a kilt or even a glass of whisky so I'm wondering why the title McMafia?
Anyone else watching?

Bizarrely I did enjoy the Russian Mafia boss- the actor was excellent. Would have been quite happy for Alex’s dad to have been successful in his jump and would have shoved a bit of backbone up the girlfriend,it was the human trafficking that was unpleasant with the Israeli.
Yes, she was, but I thought her personality was important to the plot. She stood for everything Alex appeared to believe in before he became embroiled in the murky underworld.
I thought the series was summed up perfectly when she told him, from her hospital bed, that despite his wealth, impeccable manners and education he had reverted to type as the son and nephew of Russian gangsters.
BTW, I thought the actor who played his father bore a passing resemblance to Mark E Smith.
