It's 'Ferocious Friday' according to The Daily Mail.
Storm Callum brings travel chaos with flights, trains and ferries CANCELLED as 70mph gales and torrential rain pound UK. 6.3in (160mm) of rainfall in South Wales, with the Met Office issuing an amber 'danger to life' warning amid concern over flooding causing chaos.
I expect they are waiting for Toril's expertise in gathering them up.
I'm ahead of the game. 👍 I've already taken 4 wheelie bin bags of them to the tip since mid September and 3 of those were from the area by the front door.
The wind's not too bad here today, but I'm waiting until the ones on the ground blow into piles (much easier to sweep up.) However, 99.9% of the leaves are still on the trees so I've got a lot of fun and bags to come. 😳
Shortly after my earlier post, the wind really whipped up. I've been out three times this afternoon to deal with the leaves that had piled against the front door and I've filled one wheelie bin bag.
I wish other people in the Close would clear up their own leaves instead of leaving them to blow down to me to deal with. Heaven help me when Autumn really starts.
It's still very windy here. Mrs Dineen and I got blown around the town earlier but it's not as bad as the forecast. Our area did not get the worst of it. There are parts of the county still without electricity.
It's sunny and about 18C at the moment and due to get warmer, although the forecast is for a cooler day tomorrow. It looks as though we missed the worst of it, but Ireland and Wales seem to have borne the brunt of the storm.
