I've just read an interesting obituary for a jewellery designer/sculptor called Wendy Ramshaw who, more than 40 years ago, invented the concept of stacking rings and won a Design Council Award for Innovation in Jewellery Design.
I like stacking rings. I had a fabulous stack of diamond and mainly sapphire rings that those barstewards nicked. Have never found anything quite like them. Some lovely stacks on that link though.
Interesting! I was just looking at stacking rings last night (before I saw this) as I am wondering about some. Unfortunately, I have a largish birthday rapidly approaching and I wondered about asking the boys would they like to buy me a set - say, one for each decade (so 3 4 then ). Not mega expensive ones, obv, but I thought it might be a nice idea.
Some of Wendy Ramshaw's are fab but most certainly anything like that is outside the desired price bracket!
I love the Daisy stacking rings EB. I have four but tend only to wear three at any one time. I sometimes wear a fine rose gold diamond band in with them too. They’re often the rings I take on holiday. I love the actual daisy ones but there are lots of others.
Very nice but definitely outside the price bracket! I was thinking maybe £40 total! I'm not fussed about sterling silver or genuine gemstones really, it was the symbolism. I couldn't ask the boys to spend that much even if they could afford it.
