Just a heads up for those of you who still buy stuff from La Q, they have changed the bags they use to send stuff out from the old style blue ones to the flimsiest of pale grey ones that rip if you even so much as look at them oddly.
I sent for a pair of Skechers that had all but emerged from the end of aforementioned wafer thin bag so I rang Customer Services to complain that it would have required almost no effort for someone to filch them. Do they care, no they don't.
Obviously they are cheaper but a) it won't be cheaper for them in the long run if they have to replace missing items and b) the cost of their P&P is still exorbitant.
I think my days of shopping with them are truly over now.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
I wondered if it was because they are now recyclable, but there is nothing to indicate that. I used to keep their bags to wrap my own parcels with, but these are too flimsy.
Difficult to return things in original packaging then. I cannot anyway as Hellenic post won’t accept plastic packaging. This is nothing to do with climate change or saving the earth as it has been the rule since before we came here 15 years ago. I was told it was something to do with their sorting machines not recognising it.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
Does your stuff come boxed from La Q then, Cass? I bet you have to pay well over the odds for that privilege!
No sorry, I wasn't clear. Things can arrive in plastic packaging but the P.O. won't accept things sent from here in it. The odd times (twice in 15 years) I have had to return anything, I have to pack in boxes or wrapping paper.
The only reason I still like to shop with them is that I only pay 1.00 more for postage than you do . I know in U.K. it is extortionate but for us to get things sent here, it is really cheap. Most parcels are 4.95 against around 13.00-15.00 from most other U.K. suppliers. When we Brexit, I will have to reconsider as then I will have to pay customs duty.

I’ve never had an issue with the bags from QVC (the old blue ones or the new grey ones) yet, but there have been quite a few posts on their FB page complaining about open bags when they arrive. Posters were saying they need to look at their machine that seals the bags. To be honest, in my opinion, they should stop sending plastic bags through the post anyway. That’s one reason that I like Amazon, because their packaging is recyclable.
QVC also rather “overdo” their packaging. I received something, the other month, that could have come in a small Jiffy bag. It was in a box, surrounded by brown paper filling, and inside a plastic bag. 😳 A tad OTT for a mascara.
